Richmond Business Expo 2012
We arrived at 11am, ready to set up our stand before entry to the visitors began 2 hours later. Already at 11am cars were parked outside the stadium and exhibitors were making several journeys from the (far away!) car park to the Rose Suite with their things!
It was buzzing with energy inside the exhibition room. Lioness Marketing arrived at the same time as everybody else, so we were all setting up our stands at the same time.
I’d love to give a big shout out to Delivery Express – a Twickenham-based courier company – who had their stand next to ours. Martin was a great help in sticking our posters on the velcro boards, to ensure they were nice and straight! Throughout the day, Martin and I had a lot of conversation so needless to say I have made a friend and contact from the event.
Delivery Express also had a very large selection of chocolates which they were generous in sharing with us!
We really enjoyed the exhibition. It was fabulous to see so many local businesses come together – we really got a feel for what was happening in the local community. One visitor even said to us, “there’s so many businesses from Teddington here. I live in Teddington – I really have no idea where everyone is hiding!”
We really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people. It proved to be a very interesting day and we have made potential new business connections, as well as potential clients for our social media marketing and web design services.
I also came across a few of my lovely friends! It was great to meet up with Sarah from As It Is, who was hanging around with the eccentric but lovely Annette from MacDonald Plumbing in Teddington. Claire from Accounts Resource – for whom we did their website – also came and said hello! Business coach Simon came along for a chat, Penny the VIE skin specialist, as well as Caroline who has an event management company.
I’d also like to give a shout out to Optimal Spine, the Twickenham chiropractors opposite us. They were giving out massages all day, which proved to be so popular there were queues about 45 minutes long! The poor masseuse looked exhausted at the end of the day, so thank you for fitting me in at 6pm! The massage was great.
Thank you very much to thebestofRichmond for hosting this wonderful event. Everyone looked to be having a fantastic time. The Lionesses certainly enjoyed ourselves.
Hi Alis
It was really lovely to see you there yesterday and we thought your stand was very impressive – just the right mix of serious, quirky and fun!
So fingers crossed that all your hard work pays off and we look forward to speaking with you again.
Nick and Jacqui
PS – forgot to say – what a ‘star gran’ you have! Please let her share her secret because I want whatever she’s on – she looked amazing and has tremendous energy

That made Gran’s day! She said it’s hard work and a keen interest in young people, especially her granddaughter.
Gran went to all the seminars and really enjoyed learning about social media and e-marketing!
A really lovely blog, which really conveys your enthusiasm for exhibiting! You are trailblazers for us as we have not exhibited yet. We loved your stand, the corporate colours made it stand out and gave it a real energy. You are the most fantastic business to work with, and I hope that we are not the only people to realise this and you get lots of new business as a result of the show! You deserve it!
